‘Return of the Queens’… ‘LPBA first queen’ Kim Gap-seon vs ‘4-win original queen’ Lim Jeong-sook clash in the semifinals

Women’s Professional Billiards (LPBA) 7th Tour Semifinals were ’90s born’ Kim Ye-eun (24, Welcome Savings Bank) – Kim Bo-mi (25, NH Nonghyup Card) and ‘veteran union’ Lim Jung-sook (37, Crown Haitai) and Kim Gap-seon (46) compressed into a confrontation. 

Kim Ye-eun, the “youngest LPBA champion” who won the 2020 SK Rent-A-Car Championship and the 2021 Crown Haitai LPBA Championship, engages in a fierce battle with “irrelevant” Kim Bo-mi.

Lim Jung-sook, who won 3 out of 7 tournaments in 2019, the first year of the LPBA tour, and became the ‘LPBA Queen’, will compete with Kim Gap-seon, the first winner of the ‘LPBA Tour’, with the pride of the ‘original queen’. 

On the 20th, at the Bitmaru Broadcasting Center in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, ‘Welcome Savings Bank Wellbang PBA-LPBA Championship’ LPBA Round 8 Kim Ye-eun defeated Min-joo Baek 3:2 after a full set match against Min-ju Baek, and Bo-mi Kim defeated Jeong Bo-ra in just 67 minutes. The set score was 3:0. 

Lim Jeong-suk and Kim Gap-seon also advanced to the semifinals by beating Kim Jin-ah (Hana Card) and Yong Hyun-ji (TS Shampoo, Pura Chicken) with a set score of 3:1, respectively.

‘PBA’s youngest champ’ Kim Ye-eun won after a close match going up to 5 sets against Baek Min-joo. 

Kim Ye-eun won the first set with a score of 11:8 (11 innings), but after a close match with Baek Min-ju, one set after another, entered the 5th set with a set score of 2:2.  헤라카지노

In the 5th set, Kim Ye-eun accumulated scores one by one while Baek Min-joo stopped hitting for the first 3 innings, and scored 9 points in 6 innings to reach 9:

Kim Bo-mi, who achieved the highest average (2.200) in LPBA history in the previous round of 16, got off to a smooth start by winning one win against Jeong Bo-ra in the first set with 11:7 (8 innings). 

In the second set that followed, he scored 9 high runs in the ninth inning, quickly overpowered the second set at 11:10 (9 innings), and even won the third set 11:5 (10 innings), finishing the game in just 67 minutes. 

With this advancement, Kim Bo-mi reached the third semifinal of the season.

In the quarterfinals held at a different table that day, Lim Jung-suk took two sets against Kim Jin-ah in a tense situation with a set score of 1:1 and won with a set score of 3:1. We won 3:1 and succeeded in advancing to the semifinals for the first time this season.

In the LPBA semi-finals, which will be held from 4:30 pm on the 22nd, Kim Ye-eun and Kim Bo-mi and Lim Jung-sook and Kim Gap-seon will face each other for tickets to the finals. 

‘Best friend’ Kim Ye-eun and Kim Bo-mi’s record in LPBA history is 1 win and 1 loss, and ‘LPBA original queen’ Lim Jeong-sook and ‘first champ’ Kim Gap-seon will have their first LPBA match.
