Pro basketball Ginseng Corporation, which sent Oh Seung-geun and Moon Sung-gon, signs free agent center Lee Jong-hyun

Anyang KGC Ginseng Corporation, the overall winner of the 2022-2023 professional basketball season, has signed free agent (FA) center Jong-hyun Lee.

Ginseng Corporation announced on the 22nd that it signed Lee Jong-hyun for a one-year contract with a total compensation of 150 million won (130 million won in annual salary and 20 million won in incentives).

A graduate of Kyungpook National University, Jong-hyun was selected by the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 KBL Rookie Draft and made his professional debut, playing for Goyang Orion, Carot (now Day One), and Jeonju KCC.안전놀이터

He spent the 2022-2023 season with Carot before joining KCC in a midseason trade. Between the two teams, he appeared in 39 regular-season games, averaging 3.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in 12:58 minutes.

The 6-foot-9 guard has been playing for his country since high school and was a member of the men’s basketball gold medal team at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon.

“With the mindset of starting from scratch, I will do my best with the attitude of a rookie,” said Lee Jong-hyun.

Lee joins guards Choi Sung-won (formerly of SK) and Chung Hyo-geun (formerly of Daegu Kogas) as the latest additions to the Ginseng Corporation, which sent unification champions Oh Seong-geun and Moon Sung-gon to Seoul SK and Suwon KT, respectively, in this year’s free agency market.
