Eddy finishes the AQ for the men’s V-League to Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance in first place

I met the leader again from my college days. The 2023 V-League Men’s Asian Quarter (hereinafter referred to as AQ) draft hosted by the Korean Volleyball Federation (KOVO) was held at Halla Gymnasium in Jeju Island on the 27th.

Earlier, from the 25th to this day, a tryout was held for AQ participants. The 7 men’s clubs decided on the order of nominations through a ball lottery.

The first place went to Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance. Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance selected Eddie (Mongolia) as one of the first candidates for the draft ahead of this draft.

Eddy is 198 cm tall and can see two seats as a middle blocker and an outside heater. While attending Sungkyunkwan University, he played for the same team again after a year with Samsung Fire & Marine Manager Kim Sang-woo.

Director Kim served as the commander of the volleyball team at Sungkyunkwan University until taking the baton of Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance in 2022. Having spent three years with Eddie, he knows the play star better than anyone else.

KEPCO got the second choice and made an unexpected choice. Some did not nominate Bayarsaihan (Mongolia), who was considered the most likely candidate for the first nomination over Eddie. KEPCO coach Kwon Young-min chose Ryohei (Japan) as the libero Lee.

It is known that KEPCO focused on reinforcing the libero position. The ‘defending champion’ Korean Air, who obtained the 3rd place nomination, also passed Bayarsaihan. 메이저놀이터

Korean Air coach Tommy Tilikhainen chose an outside heater. Mark Espejo (Philippines) will wear a Korean Air uniform. Bayarsaihan went to OK Financial Group, which exercised the 4th nomination right.

Bayarsaihan is a middle blocker with a height of 197 cm, and teams who wanted to reinforce ‘height’ are paying attention. He graduated from Inha University.

Hyundai Capital, who received the 5th pick, chose Tsai Peichang (Taiwan), a tall middle blocker. Peichang was one of the tallest players in the AQ tryout (height: 203 cm).

KB Insurance also chose the same Taiwanese player. In sixth place, 191cm tall outside hitter Liu Hongmin wears a KB Insurance uniform. Lihu Heung-min played for the Taiwan national team for a long time. From 2021 to 2022, he also appeared on the court as a member of the national team with Fei Chang.

Woori Card chose Apogee Otage Isei (Japan) with a height of 202 cm as the last, 7th place nomination. Otage also has experience with the Japanese national team from 2017 to 2021.
