‘Bad weather bad luck’ Lee So-young and Park Hyeon-kyung challenge for the first win of the season in Vietnam

Lee So-young and Park Hyeon-kyung, who left a disappointing runner-up in the opening match of the 2023 season of the Korean Women’s Professional Golf (KLPGA) Tour, move to Vietnam and aim for the first win of the season.

The tournament that Lee So-young and Park Hyeon-kyung challenge to win is the PLK Pacific Rings Korea Championship (total prize money of 700 million won) held for three days from the 16th.

This tournament was held as the Hyosung Championship for three years from 2017, and will be held this year by changing the title sponsor to the golf platform company Pacific Rings Korea.

The tournament is the same as 3 years ago at the Vietnam Twin Doves Golf Club (par 72), where 88 KLPGA tour players, 3 members of the Vietnam Golf Association, and 5 recommended players compete for the championship.

Lee So-young and Park Hyun-kyung took second place side by side at the Hana Financial Group Singapore Women’s Open, the opening day of the KLPGA Tour 2023 season, which ended on the 11th.

As the final round was canceled due to bad weather at the time, the two players were unable to seize the opportunity to turn around against Park Ji-young, who rose to the top by one shot, so they are determined to compete in this tournament.

Lee So-young said, “At Twin Doves Golf Club, the iron shots were always good. I think you can get good results if you attack the tricky greens well.” I will play,” he said.

Lee So-mi, who boasts a high-water shot feeling by winning two weeks in a row at the tournament held in Jeju Island this year, is also a candidate for the championship. She also has good memories of finishing runner-up in the Hyosung Championship in the 2019 season.

Lee So-mi expressed her determination, saying, “I think that the 2019 season and now I have changed. Rather than reproducing the play at the time, I try to play a game that suits me now.”

Lim Hee-jung, Lee Ga-young, Hong Jung-min, and Jo A-yeon, who experienced the championship this year, also announced a fierce match for the championship cup.  메이저사이트

Whether the rookies are active is also a point of interest. Kim Min-byeol, the top passer of the seed match, and Hwang Yu-min, a former national representative and considered the strongest in his amateur days, will enter the Rookie of the Year race starting with this tournament.

Park Min-ji, who won the prize money this year, Kim Su-ji, who won the grand prize, and Park Ji-young, who won the opening match, will not attend due to personal schedules.

Hosted by Pacific Rings Korea and SBS Golf, this tournament will be broadcast live every round through host broadcasters SBS Golf, Naver, Daum Kakao, Olleh TV, and LG U+.
