An ace confrontation that made my hands sweat… Toronto laughed

The New York Yankees-Toronto Blue Jays game on the 18th drew attention as the Ace confrontation. The Yankees started with Gerrit Cole and Toronto started with Chris Bassett.

As befits an ace match, both Cole and Bassett showed off their perfect pitch. Cole had 7 hits, 2 walks, 6 strikeouts, and no runs in 6 innings, and Bassett calmed the opponent’s lineup with 3 hits, 1 walk, 7 strikeouts, and no runs in 7 innings.

The match was won by Toronto 3-0. Both teams, unable to determine a winner in the regular innings, went into overtime.

In the 10th inning of overtime, Danny Jansen hit a walk-off 3-run home run to bring about a valuable victory. Jansen hit Wandy Ferala’s first pitch with one out and second and third base in the 10th inning and blew it out of the left wall.
